Getting Started

1. Create your account

Sign up at rhyora.com with your email address or your Google account. You can start describing your celebration straight away — nothing is charged, and no card is asked for.

After signing up you land on your list of invitations. Anything you begin is kept as a draft, so you can leave it and come back to it.

2. Describe your celebration

Say what the occasion is in your own words — who it is for, when and where it is, and which language it should be in. Nothing is picked from a template, and you are asked about anything still missing. Before anything is made:

1. You settle the invitation wording together and approve it, in the language you asked for.
2. If you would like a song, you read the words it would sing about your family, and change them until they are right.
3. You can add photographs of the people in the invitation, so the artwork resembles them.
4. A still preview of the artwork is made, for you to look over.
5. All of this costs nothing — the wording and the words of your song for as many rounds as you like, and your first look at the artwork.

A celebration with several ceremonies goes on one invitation — up to eight parts on a single page.

3. Check the picture before it is brought to life

The still preview is the moment to look closely, because the lettering is drawn into the picture rather than typed over it. Check:

• The names — every spelling, in your own script.
• The date and the time.
• The venue, and the way it is written.
• The look of it — if the artwork is not what you had in mind, say so now rather than after the film is made.

When you are happy with it, one purchase covers the making of everything: the artwork, the film your guests watch, and your recorded song. Once it has begun it cannot be stopped, and the film is made from the picture exactly as you approved it.

4. Your film and your song are made

The film and the song are made at the same time, and the film often finishes first — so your invitation can go live while the song is still being recorded. You can close the page and come back; leaving does not stop anything.

There is no separate publish step. The moment your film is ready your link starts working, and you are offered a button to open it and a button to share it. If you would rather nobody saw it yet, you can hide the invitation from its settings.

5. Share your link

Your invitation is given its own web address the moment you start it, and that address never changes — not when it goes live, not when you correct a detail, not when you hide it and bring it back. It is safe to send once, or to print.

The written details on the page — the names, the date, the time, the venue — can be corrected at any time, and the correction reaches everyone straight away on the same link. The finished film is different: it keeps the wording you approved.
